More on Spacetech closure

Posted by Richard Goodwin on 15:54, 2/8/2000 | , ,

Chris Hornby has posted more information on the shock news that Spacetech is to close. Commenting on product support, he said:
Spacetech is closing down, but Spacetech products will continue. PhotoReal printers and drivers will continue to be available and existing and future customers will be supported. Digital cameras will continue to be available with RO drivers and existing and future customers will be supported. A new CDROM edition of PHOTODESK will be released shortly.
And on the subject of why the company has to close:
The reason why Spacetech went under was not because of the state of the RO market, we have been the victims of circumstances outside our control which resulted from us being the victims of a large credit card fraud originating in Thailand.
For more information, or just to offer Chris (and the rest of the Spacetech crew) condolances, email support@spacetech.co.uk as Chris isn't certain how long the phone line will last.

Unregistered user Credit card fraud? Oh dear, did the RO world walk under a ladder when I wasn't looking?

Photoreal drivers really need continual development...doom.
