RiscPCs for a ton

Posted by Richard Goodwin on 16:21, 13/9/2000 | , ,

Chris Evans of CJE has recently announced on the newsgroups that he's willing to sell RiscPCs cheap to programmers to help with software development:
We have a quantity of RiscPCs that allow us to make a special offer open to programmers. RiscPC 610 + RISC OS3.60 + 16MB + 1MB vram + HD for 100ukp +VAT +carriage.
So what's the catch? Well obviously you need to be a programmer, but other than that...
...'Suitable evidence' can be many things, a web address of a PD program you've written, details of a commercial title you've written, forthcoming project details (supplied under NDA)...
...your programming may be intended to PD, or you already sell direct or through another publisher. Part of the CJE group is CJE Software Distribution, for commercial products we would be happy to discuss distibution and where no prior arrangements had been made, we would like first refusal for distribution, we do not insist on exclusivity.
So, if you're still struggling trying to write something on that A3000, it could well be worth your while dropping CJE a line.

Unregistered user How about reduced price RiscStations and other new hardware for all developers, not just newbies?

Surely it would help all software to be tweaked to suit the new kit?

Cheers,
