The Icon Bar: News and features: Acorn Cybervillage Returns

Acorn Cybervillage Returns

Posted by Andrew Duffell on 12:33, 26/2/2005 | , , ,

cybervillageDavid Bradforth of Alligata Media has taken over the once flagship RISC OS news portal, The Acorn Cybervillage, after Stuart Halliday recently stepped down due to health problems.

Stuart launched the site with Alan Wrigley in 1995, and it quickly became the main RISC OS news and rumour portal until over the years The Icon Bar, and The Launch Pad became the market leaders.

David is "taking the helm with the intention of making The Acorn Cybervillage the starting point for RISC OS news and views", but to do this he needs your ideas as to how the site can be improved. If you have any suggestions, you could post them in the comments of this article, and I'm sure tat David will read them.

We would like to wish David all the best for the future of The Cybervillage, but intend to give him a run for his money.

I really like the Cybervillage logo, although some of the other graphics such as the title one could do with a bit of a revamp. Also the quality of cvlogo4.gif seems a bit low, and could be possibly remade from the original large one...?
