Portmeister
Peter "Chocky" Naulls has updated his
Unix Porting Project with lots of nice SDL game ports for you all to enjoy.
The current lineup of games include fun titles such as SDLBomber, a BomberMan clone, SDLRoids, the classic asteroid game, and Muncher, a pacman style game.
Most of the games (the ones I tried anyway) run in a multitasking window on the desktop, rather than taking up the full screen.
With the seven games already ported, and more to come, including
Rocks'N'Diamonds, it seems that RISC OS will be getting some welcome additions to the gaming arena.
[update] I forgot to mention in the original article, some of the games use the Digital Renderer module, which is available from the Changelog page.

Well, I can't believe no-one else has any comments to make on this. I think it's fantasticly good news. If there are any bored programmers out there, I'm compiling a list of SDL based games ;-) Cheers! |

No one comments as it's a Naull's job. You'll either be treated with contempt or dismissiveness. |

Well, partially, but the actual port of SDL was done by Andrew Buckley. Peter Naulls (if I've read the drobe article correctly just ported the games using the new SDL port. Cheers! |

Wow, more anti-Chocky syndrome. Disgustingly shallow minded imho. |

Yes, I had this problem too. I remembered that VICE uses this module and extracted it from that. Cheers! |
